“This is everything I want to wear on the red carpet, to a Christmas party, or to an event,” said Beckham, excitedly. “It’s keeping it super sophisticated and chic and uncomplicated, but then having a jazzy shoe with it. That’s how I want to dress.”

And, Beckham believes, so will her customers who gushed over the sparkling mule from her Spring 2018 runway show. “Why save a glittery shoe for February if you can have it in November? There is so much going on in the world right now we all deserve to wear a bit of glitter!” In addition to the shoes, Beckham’s latest offerings include neo-Elizabethan ruffled blouses, Lurex knits, cami-top dresses, and tuxedo coats, jackets, and trousers, a staple for the designer herself. “There’s something very glamorous about this collection,” said Beckham. “It’s about creating the perfect tux jacket, the perfect tux pants.”
Asked how she plans to test out the capsule collection, Beckham emphasizes mixing and matching. “I’d wear the tuxedo pant with a simple T-shirt [or] a big thick jumper and put a pair of trainers with it,” she said. The designer also isn’t afraid to offset her haute wares with low-key vintage pieces. “I wore the sparkly shoes in New York to the Frick [when] the weather was just changing,” said Beckham. “I was wearing vintage Levi’s, a really cute vintage top, and a pair of these sparkly shoes. You don’t have to wear them at evening, you can have fun with them and wear them in a more casual way during the day, as you can with the tux jacket and the coat, too.”
The collection will be exclusively available online and includes suiting separates, dresses and a range of accessories.
