From the spare, open-air venue at Parco Sempione to the self-effacing new creative director Paul Surridge and a collection that murmured rather than roared, it’s clear the ground is shifting under the house of Roberto Cavalli.
Paul Surridge Atmosphere : A stripped down room with immaculate white walls and a mirrored wall Collection: The animal prints and sculptural sheath dresses that form the reputation of the house. But the touch of glamour gives way to comfort, the image of flat, slipper style shoes. Knitting is omnipresent, on the sexy dresses, the brassieres and even the corsets. The leather, crocodile or snakeskin make rare appearances but are still precious on natural coloured trousers or a jacket.
