In a partnership that kicked off in 2012 with two limited edition timepieces, the two great Italian brands of Bulgari and Maserati have come together once again to reveal two exclusive wristwatches - the Octo Retro Maserati GranSport and GranLusso - at the Frankfurt Motor Show currently taking place.

In the year of the Maserati Centennial and Bulgari's 130th anniversary, the two Houses celebrate this important period with a sporty watch featuring unique and outstanding characteristics. The Octo Maserati Limited Edition chronograph embodies the marriage between two Italian talents that are truly akin, although in different business fields. The Octo Maserati Limited Edition chronographs will be available in a limited number of 1,914 pieces, to celebrate the year in which Maserati was founded.
Mechanical precision, great performance, style and sportiness: in line with its tradition, Bulgari has designed a time marker that draws inspiration from these values, shared by the two Italian companies, famous for their strong and original character, creativity and style.
The Octo Maserati Limited Edition provides quick reading, like a car speedometer, and displays the time on a champlevé dial. Just like the manufacturing process of Maserati cars, this special technique involves a long and complex process requiring perfect control, time, high mental concentration and a large number of subsequent work steps: first the cells that will contain the enamel are carved and etched, then the enamelled parts are fired after manually applying the enamels and polishing the surfaces. The final result is an elegant dial that is easy to read, in line with the concept that characterises the dashboards bearing the Trident logo.
