Strong. Loud. Confident. There are no mid-ways. No compromises. A clash of cultures that generates friction and contrast between past and present - old and new, trendy and subculture, sneakers and stilettos.
Following up last season’s 90’s inspired show, Versace unveils its fall-winter 2018 collection presented during Milan Fashion Week. Designer Donatella Versace looked to clans with a collection full of tartan and plaid with a glamorous twist.
“The Clans of Versace know that today nothing is acquired through birth, but rather earned through what they achieve: this is why these women are all Queens to me,” the designer says about the collection. The show focused on sleek coats, miniskirts and form-fitting dresses. A bold color palette featured shades of yellow, blue, red and purple for a clash of prints. Versace logos and motifs were out in full force with tees, scarves and skirts. A powerhouse cast featured a number of notable faces for the house including Gigi Hadid, Kaia Gerber and Natalia Vodianova.
